So tell me whattya want, whattya really really want...

I'm taking a wee break from being scared out of my MIND (and my chair) from the suspense -- oh, the HORROR -- of the brilliant movie, Speed. I haven't seen it for years, and only saw a bit of it then, and now I understand The Attraction that is Keanu Reeves.

Speaking of hats, I started the Body for Life program today. It entails eating healthy food and exercising between 20 and 40 minutes a day, six days a week -- the seventh day you can eat whatever you want, and don't exercise -- for 12 weeks. At the end of the 12 weeks, I will have lost about 23 pounds, and gained nice slim, trim muscle. I'm excited. I feel better physically and emotionally when I'm thinner, and I've gained some weight recently because I've been eating when I'm stressed or anxious -- and I'm stressed and anxious, like, all the time.

Here I come, New Me!

I wish you lived nearby - we could do the program together! Some days I really need persuading to get out of bed to exercise. I feel so much better after I do, and it's such a great stress reliever ... but I sometimes forget that.

Good luck on your new journey!

I wish I lived near you, too! I know exactly what you mean -- I need another person to do it with...when I'm not motivated, the other person would hopefully kick my butt and make me go exercise, or remind me what I'm aiming for...and vice versa.

my sister and brother in law did this program, and they're both gorgeous -- well, they were both gorgeous before, too, but even more so now. I e-mailed my sister last night, told her I was starting, and that I wanted to tell her so she could help keep me know, subtle little things like HAVE YOU EXERCISED YET TODAY or PUT DOWN THAT YORK PEPPERMINT PATTIE or IS THIS YOUR DAY OFF -- I DON'T THINK SO!! :D

Oh Nika. Speed freaked you out? Dude! I was laughing so hard at all the sublime cheesiness of that flick! Like "Here I am. Mr. Keaunu. Can be squirted with gasoline, jump from moving buses, scrape my body against concrete, be shot at, be beat up repeatedly, be blown up repeatedly, and have an extensive knowledge of detonating bombs. All in one day. At the end of the day, I can still run a marathon! And look pretty, too."

And darlin'. I would love to be fitter, but I like my weight. It's happy just being me, at 138 pounds. So I might excersize just to keep up my health, or keep up my "manly muscles" (as Bri's cousin Chris so tactfully called my arms). But I just like taking nice walks through the woods. I'm not all gung ho. (well, OK, I do go on excersize streaks occasionly, but they never last. *G*)
But you have fun while you starve yourself and beat your body into submission. I'll eat an extra hershey kiss in your honor. :-)
